Update On The Mohegan Sun Sports Bar Seats - Sometimes, Even Stadium Insiders Are Wrong

ATTENTION: NEW STADIUM INSIDER HAS MOVED TONYYSTADIUMINSIDER.COM. FOR ALL OF THE INFORMATION YOU COULD EVER WANT ABOUT YANKEE STADIUM MOHEGAN SUN SPORTS BAR, PLEASE VISIT OUR NEW AND IMPROVED WEBSITE!

Shame on us for not doing due diligence in verifying our earlier "membership only" news regarding the Mohegan Sun Sports Bar area in center field of the new Yankee Stadium. According to multiple sources within the Yankee ticket office (including one who claims to be a manager but really isn't), the seats will be sold on a single game basis, and will cost "around $100."

As of now, details are still being finalized, but rumor has it the Yankees will be allowing everyone in to check out the sports bar this weekend during the exhibition games. For once it seems that the Yankees are taking the right approach to try to sell premium seats.

According to our sources, numbered, bar stool seats will face the field for people with tickets in the Mohegan Sun Sports Bar. Remember, none of this is official until it appears on Yankees.com, so this information is all subject to change. We find it pretty unbelievable that the stadium opens in a couple of days and we are still relying on information from made up hospitality directors and random sources in the ticket office.

In regard to the actual seats, our opinion has certainly changed considering the above information. Why would someone pay upwards of $100 per game to sit behind glass over 500 feet away from home plate and be overcharged for drinks? Why not just go to ESPN Zone in Times Square if you want to watch the game from a sports bar?

I hope this is not true. It makes no sense. We have field level seats half way between 1st base and the right field foul pole for $75. Why would anyone pay that? But then again we Yankee fans are crazy. I used to pay for the Pinstripe Pub. It was an overcrowded dump. They used to run out of food top shelf booze at the end of a home stand. Food? Did I just call it food? It was disgusting. One Sunday I saw them drop someone's chicken fingers on the floor, pick it up off of the filthy floor and put it back on the plate and serve it.
I figured it might be kind of cheap. At least that's what makes sense because you are so far out in center. I knew that it would actually be over priced. I can't even imagine the type of crowd that's going to attract.
does anyone know how the steakhouse will operate? ill be at yankee stadium for two games in july and am looking forward to having a steak with the interlocking ny seared into it.

Too bad they're going to ruin what could be a fun bar experience. I went to a Nationals game last year and their centerfield bar is great...and guess what?! Anyone can go! Granted, there are far fewer people attending Nats games so the Yankees would have to find a way to regulate the crowd, but this numbered bar seat thing seems ridiculous when you still have to have a ticket to the game elsewhere in the Stadium to get into the bar. I was excited to have bleacher seats only a section away from the bar (not the obstructed view seats!) but now I know I'll never set foot in the thing!

Pinstripe.....I went to that bar to at Nationals Park and I agree...it was a great experience. I was expecting the same thing. The Yankees are going to ruin something that could be potentially great by nickel and diming everything. I think they will come to their senses when they realize that nobody is gonna pay that. It's really stupid.
Apparently there is the bleachers cafe above the sports bar that will be
open for anyone. I think it is outdoors, but it might be fun as well!

In this stadium, $100.00 is actually pretty cheap. I'm a Yankee fan wishing I was a Royals fan living in KC right about now. This is all BS.
I was in the bar today, its great and really cool views, but i would never pay $100 to get in, it should be free the drinks were $10 for a decent vodka but maybe $20 to slow down the traffic...free would be best and the Steak house is nice, didnt try the food, but they take reservations 30 days out and are open from 11 am every day since you can get to it with out going into the stadium, Hard Rock could be the new stans but way overpriced and i will assume it will be overcrowded for a while with the out of towners...

Hopefully people just won't pay for those tickets and they will be forced to look to other methods of getting bodies in there. Thanks for the review.
Just went for opening day it was great anyone could get in but yes its true now you must be a member. I lost my camera in there and I am still trying to find a phone number to call to see if anyone turned it in... If anyone can help please email mscibelli@att.net it had all my opening day pic on it : (
If you want to find out the true cost of the Mohegan Sun or the Yankee Audi Club located in left field check out my blog http://yankeedogblog.com/mohegan-sun-bar-yankee-s... I have included menu and prices. The fact that they have empty seats is just not hitting home with these people.
