DATE CONFIRMED: Staten Island Yankee Ticket Holder Presale For 2009 Big League Yankee Tickets

Earlier this week, we discussed the upcoming Yankee ticket pre-sale for Staten Island Yankees season ticket holders. Today, we can confirm that the pre-sale for Yankee tickets will be on Friday, March 20. As per the email being sent:

As a Staten Island Yankees season ticket holder, you have the chance to purchase New York Yankees single game tickets prior to the general public. This is the inaugural season of the new Yankee Stadium, so this bonus is especially exciting this year.

You can only purchase tickets online between the hours of 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM on this Friday, March 20, 2009. Please remember, all tickets are subject to availability. Tickets to New York Yankees will go on sale to the public on Tuesday, March 24, 2009.

Its looking more and more like the New York Yankee season ticket licensee pre-sale will be on March 19. Even based on the pre-sale date revelations, season ticket holders are being treated like second or third class citizens. The general public knows when they'll get a shot at single games, Staten Island Yankee ticket holders know when it is their turn. Meanwhile, Yankee season ticket holders like the former B-planners now stuck with 20 game plans that don't include opening day are left waiting and wondering.

• March 23 (10 AM - 10PM) - Online only sale for 2009 Yankee single game tickets (with limitations on premium games.
• March 24 - General on-sale for 2009 New York Yankee tickets at all outlets for any remaining tickets (Ticketmaster, Yankee Clubhouse stores, New Yankee Stadium Ticket Office) [unconfirmed].

With all of this going on, next Thursday looks like as good of a day as ever to take off from work, purchase Yankee tickets and watch some March Madness. Sounds like a plan.
