The NSI Minor League Report: Montero & Ajax heating up

Saturday 4/11

Juan Miranda looks like trade bait now. I think our Scranton team could beat some major league clubs: I'm talking to you Washington Nationals.

Good stuff. I'll add you to my RSS reader. Always good to have more Yankee fan blogs to read!

As for Miranda, unfortunately, the incompetent GMs are slowly being forced out of baseball, so I doubt that there will be much of a market for him. If Cashman can get something of value for him, he should get a prize (or maybe just earn a pass for his horrendous signing of Kei Igawa).
If Miranda can keep his numbers up, especially against his nemesis (lefties), he will have some trade value, when there's an injury to a firstbasemen in the majors. Miranda wont get us a blue chipper, but with some shrew scouting, we can get a sleeper (i.e. Eric Fryer for Chase Wright).
