If the bats would get going I would be completely happy (Except Scranton of course. They had 13 runs on Thursday.)

What bats are you especially interested in keeping an eye on outside of Austin Jackson and Jesus Montero? Some of the other catching prospects?
Besides the big 3 (Jackson, Montero and Romine), I'm real interested in how the SS group progresses. Like the catching position, which was barren, the short stops position, has a lot of potential. Watch for Pena (when he goes back to the minors), Eduardo Nunez (who has more tools than anyone), Carmen Angelini, Garrison Lassiter (will probably wind up at 3rd or corner outfield) and Jose Mojica (short season A ball).

Also keep an eye on Brandon Laird and Bradley Suttle (when he gets off the DL).
Interesting...

Are you sure Pena will go right back down? What if the Yankees like what they see from him and decide to ditch Ransom? You don't think they'd do that?
Doubtful. He has never started above AA. It's unfair to stunt his progress by having him as the utility infielder.
I think they will want to give Pena more playing time to see how his hitting develops. He's too young to sit on the bench and not be given the opportunity to see how he develops.
One player worth keeping an eye on is Chris Malec. He posted a .407 OBP in 2008, and has opened 2009 5-8 with 3 walks, and just one strikeout. He's at AA for the time being, but he is an experienced hitter, with an excellent eye.

Don't look now, but REAL Ian Kennedy pitched a DOMINANT game. 11 K and 0 BB? There might be some signs of life yet!
