The NSI Minor League Report: Next Stop River Ave For Mitre?

Sunday July 11

Sergio Mitre might have punched his ticket to The Bronx, as he pitched 8 shutout inning for Scranton, while walking none. Jesus Montero played in the Futures Game and went 0-2, but drove in a run when he beat out the throw on a DP to allow the runner on 3rd to score. Brandon Laird continues to mirror his EL Fuego second half of the year, following a ice cold 1st half. Laird went 4 for 4 with a homer, for Tampa. All four Yankees Minor League teams won.
