Scranton swept a doubleheader. The first game was an extra inning affair, that was won by stellar relief pitching, which pitched 5 innings of shutout ball. Juan Miranda won it in the 11th inning, on a walk off single. Austin Jackson walked 3 times in the first game, and homered in the second game.
Trenton and Tampa lost. Jesus Montero was beaten out for the ESL Player of the week despite having a .391 average vs, a ,379 average for the winner. Montero had 4 home runs and a double, while the other player had a homer, triple and 4 doubles.
Andrew Brackman continues to struggle as he couldn't record an out in the 2nd inning for Charleston. He gave up 6 runs in 1 inning of work with 4 walks. In his last 5 appearances, Brackman hasn't made it to the 5 th inning. He's given up an astonishing 25 Earned Runs in the last 14.2 innings.
