This panoramic view of Yankee Stadium on July 4 was shot using GigaPan technology. You can zoom in on any detail – from Alex Rodriguez approaching the plate in the first inning against the Red Sox to the façade of the new Yankee Stadium beyond leftfield. Taken by a robotic camera, the photo was shot over the course of 10 minutes and consists of 124 frames stitched together. Carnegie Mellon developed the GigaPan technology last year in collaboration with NASA.Feel free to leave a comment if you find anything crazy going on in the picture.

there is a lot going on in this pic. I showed it to my 12 year old son and the first thing he noticed is that Mike Lowell and Alex Cora are missing from the pic. No SS and 3B. If you look closely you can also see Beckett is throwing the pitch but Varitek and A-Rod are not ready. Also the ump at first is in play as if the pitch was thrown. If you look around the crowd you can see where the pic's were seamed together, including the ump at first. Very cool stuff.
unfortunately, it's not a 360, so some of the seating in right field isn't visible. which means that i can't find myself in the rf bleachers... oh well.
