This post is for the over 30 crowd - "Make your Pinstripe Wishes Come True"

I believe the Yankees do something like this "fantasy camp" every year, but I am only posting about it this year since it is the last chance to take part in the "baseball cathedral" that is the current Yankee Stadium. Plus, they are touting it as "the first one and the last one to be held (in the current stadium)." So, I must be wrong.

Anyway - for the bargain basement price of $10,000 you get:

- Your own uniform with choice of number, locker, coaching, batting practice, and seven or more innings of play on the field where few trod (other than Major Leaguers)
- Hall of Famer Goose Gossage, Bucky Dent, Ron Guidry, John Flaherty, Pat Kelly, Tim Raines, Jeff Nelson, Graeme Lloyd, Jesse Barfield, Mickey Rivers, Ron Blomberg, Johnny Blanchard, Homer Bush among others will comprise the Legends that (60) lucky campers will have the chance to play against at Yankee Stadium on either August 4th or 5th.
If you are interested in this, they have started a blog called "Pinstripe Wishes Come True".

One disclaimer is that you must be over 30 years of age to participate. Therefore, my $10,000 is not good to them. Bummer.

HURRY! The deadline is July 14

The best part? If you juice up before the game and manage to go yard, Michael Kay will be right there to call the shot with his patented "see ya". How ISN'T that worth $10,000?

Talk about it in the NYYSI Forums!

Though the Yankees have done Fantasy Camps in Tampa in the past, I think this is the first year they're ever having one in Yankee Stadium and you get to play against Legends like Goose Gossage. Pretty cool.
